Just now when I was putting you to bed I noticed that you had really torn up your sleepsack a lot during your nap this afternoon.  I gasped and said, "oh, no!  What happened?!"  Then I started *crying.*  Without any more words from me you said, "it's okay, Mama.  I am sorry, Mama.  I will never do it again."

A bit later you asked if I was sad about the sleepsack and I said that I was.  Then you told me again, "I will never do it again,  Mom."

I am impressed daily with your vocabulary and full sentences.

You are so smart.  How smart?  Well, tonight I was singing "I Will Follow Him" to you (though I say, I will follow you)...

Mama: I love you, I love you, I love you, and where you go I'll follow, I'll follow...
Everett: what does follow mean?
Mama: (still singing) I'll follow.  I will follow you
Everett: (removing binky) What is follow?  What does follow mean?

Seriously?  It's no wonder you have such a huge speaking vocabulary.

I was doing the dishes and could hear you horsing around on the couch (bouncing, falling off, etc.) so I said, "Everett, you aren't making bad choices, are you?!"  And your response was, "I am!!"

This morning I greeted you and excitedly asked, "are you ready to go to school?!"

Everett: "yes, I wanna go in!  I wanna go in Emily's school."
Mama: "Well, we will go in Emily's school to drop her off, but then you are going to Everett's school."
Everett: "MY school?!  Wow, that will be GREAT!!"

Putting you to bed asked for one more song.  Which song?  Sounded like take and nuts so I asked, "Take Me Out To The Ball Game?" You responded, "yes."  I went on to say, "Good job.  With the peanuts?"  I didn't finish before you said, "with peanuts and Cracker Jacks!!"

When we were packing for our trip, Emily stuffed a bunch of toys for you in her small Emily backpack.  You wore it around the house a little and loved it but I chose a different bag for you to take on the trip to Texas.  Today, you realized that I had switched out the bags and said later, "I miss my backpack."

This morning when I went in to get you out of bed, you were playing with the tag on your lovey and said, "we have a problem here."  You had pulled a string in the tag and you were holding a long string and at the end was your shredding tag.
